MNMF assists local family's fight against cancer

On Wednesday, February 10, 2010, the Michael Napoleone Memorial Foundation held an "Awareness Night" at the boys basketball game between the Honeoye Fall-Lima Cougars and the Batavia Blue Devils. Foundation Vice-President Dave Pero (r) presented a check for $1,000 to Jeanette Filbert (l), mother of Treyvaun Filbert, a Batavia student who is battling a brain tumor. Each team was given Foundation t-shirts to wear during warm-ups with the words "....shoot for a cure" on the the back. A big thank you to Batavia High School for allowing the Foundation to "Lend a Hand of Hope" to the Filberts and spread the awareness of pediatric cancers.
